Alexander Wade
Alexander ("Alex") M. Wade is a partner with the firm.
Alex was born in Markdale and raised in Owen Sound. He attended
Trent University, graduating with Honours in Political Studies
(2007). After spending a number of years working in Western
Canada and overseas, Alex attended Lakehead University's Bora Laskin
Faculty of Law, as part of its inaugural class. Alex summered
with the firm and, after graduation, joined Middlebro' & Stevens
LLP upon his call to the bar (2016). He became a partner in 2020.
Alex is focusing his practice in Family Law, but
also in the areas of Civil Litigation, Construction Law, Corporate
& Commercial, Medical Professional Corporations, Real Estate, and
Wills & Estates, among others. He is also a Provincial
Offences Prosecutor for local Municipalities and some Ministries, and
is also doing some Provincial Offences defence work.
Alex has also completed his Collaborative Family
Law Training - Levels One and Two. He has joined the Ontario
Association of Collaborative Professionals and, more locally, the
Collaborative Family Law Group of Grey/Bruce. Alex is very
excited to offer this novel mechanism of resolution to his family law
clients, particularly in the areas of custody and access.
Alex is married, with two young children and a dog. He enjoys
reading, gardening, "diy" projects, as well as a number of recreational
sports, such as scuba diving, snowboarding, stand up paddle boarding,
hiking, mountain biking, and golf.
